Google’s new Latitude doesn’t work in some cases from Canada

From google.com/latitude one is able to add the iGoogle widget and it works nicely: But once one returns to one’s iGoogle homepage the following error appears: Only by entering this URL into the browser does the feature return: http://www.google.com/ig?referrer=ign. Why would this be? What’s wrong with Canada? Update: Google seems to have fixed the problem.
